Embark on a dog sled camping journey designed to explore and inspire. Learn to drive your own team of 4-6 dogs (premier style) through the spectacular scenery of northern Minnesota and the world famous Boundary Waters wilderness. Gain winter camping experience under the guidance of seasoned winter guides. Spend more time with the dogs and enjoy their animated personalities both on the runners and in camp. This trip is ideal for avid wilderness enthusiasts, as well as novices interested in winter camping and travel by dogteam.

Combines a classic tour of the BWCAW with good fishing en route. We typically cover 75+ miles on this journey that starts at Moose Lake or Snowbank and finishes at the kennel. Custom groups may finish the trip with a last night stay at our backcountry yurt, or another night under the stars on a wilderness lake all your own. Reserve this trip for your private group and include more fishing, or join one of our pre-scheduled NW Explorer trips. When your register for a pre-scheduled NW Explorer trip, please let us know you are interested in fishing. Fishing on a standard NW Explorer trip may be limited to 1/2 to a full day.
