Traditional Yurt Trip
Run dogs to a remote yurt camp. What is a yurt? A yurt is an insulated Mongolian tent-like shelter with a wooden frame and a canvas skin. Heated, a yurt provides the warmth and comfort of a lodge with the remoteness of a camp site.
Ease into your trip by spending the first two nights in a north woods lodge. The first full day is a training day for you to learn to drive a dog team and enjoy the outdoors. Dogsled to our yurt on a secluded lake on the second day. It is almost certain that we will be the only people enjoying this remote place. For snowshoeing, stargazing, or just contemplating the beauty of winter wilderness, this is the perfect spot. Enjoy gourmet meals in the remote yurt location. The next day, dogsled back to the lodge for your final evening. The program concludes after breakfast the following morning.
