These trips set the standard for a top-quality dogsledding experience. On each of our Premier Trips, every participant drives their own solo sled with a team of four to six Alaskan huskies. This format allows us to run farther and faster than on most trips. Solo sleds enhance your experience by giving you more time on the runners to improve your skills, and more time to spend with your team of dogs.

Just one person on the sled also makes sled maneuvering a little a bit easier, and people often get the hang of driving just a little bit more quickly. Fantastic dogs, spectacular scenery, and the best equipment available will provide for a grand adventure.

Excellent for families and individuals who want to ease into mushing, our Traditional Trips are run with two people per team of dogs. For good control of the sled and quick steering response, one person drives the team while the other rides. Switching between positions as many times as desired allows for plenty driving time and plenty of time to take it easy.

Combine great dogsleding with snow camping in the wilderness for an oppportunity to travel deeper in to the wilderness, develop a greater connection with the dogs and immerse yourself in a fabulous mushing experience.  All skills are taught.  First and last nights are in a comfortable lodge.  Join a pre-scheduled trip, or gather a group of 3 or more for a custom trip that matches your schedule.   Custom trips are available in our Premier or Traditional styles.

Our dogsled fishing trips are exceptional in that they blend ice fishing with scenic adventure travel, taking you deeper in to the wilderness - to remote lakes that leave the rest behind. Our destinations lay within the Boundary Waters Wildeness Area - home to the best native lake trout fisheries in MN. Northern Pike, Walleye and Lake Trout are all active during the winter season. The best time to catch lake trout is during the winter season, and the most rewarding way to access these remote lakes is by dogteam. Why ski, snowshoe or slog your gear in when you can travel efficiently and in style by dog team? Cover more ground with our sled dogs and make more time for fishing with these combo trips.   These trips offer a balance between mushing and fishing, with plenty of options to customize the trip to your desires.

Our fishing trips are primarily custom trips for your group of 2-6 travelers. Join one of our trips on the schedule, or contact us with your dates and we can design a trip just for your group. Custom trips can be arranged premier or traditional style. The best time to go is mid-February through the end of March. Ice fishing season here runs Jan 15-Feb 28 for most fish, and Jan 15-March 31 for Lake Trout.
