Tails from the Trail-Food Problems

We believe in feeding people well on our sled dog trips. Nothing creates an appetite like a day out in the winter.

But sometimes even the best plans can go astray. One night in our Yurt camp we were serving fresh pumpkin pie for dessert. For the whipped cream we send out the ingredients in a water bottle. It can than be shaken vigorously and make whipped cream.

This night Shawn was distracted talking to the group and shaking a little too slow. All of a sudden a “clunk” came from inside the bottle; he had made butter instead.

For the rest of the trip the group insisted on using only the homemade butter.
