Meet your guide for dinner on the first evening and learn about dogsledding. Ease into your shared yurt trip by spending the first two nights in a comfortable north woods lodge. The first full day is a training day for you to learn to drive a dog team and enjoy the scenic northwoods blanketed in winter. Two people will share a sled, alternating riding and driving. This is great for those who are unsure of the physical challenges, or like the camaraderie of mushing with a partner. We’ll stop mid-day for a hot trail lunch and homemade cookies. Expect to gain skills and confidence manouevering the sled as we explore scenic trails on this first full day. Return to the lodge for a relaxing evening. The following day, you will depart on an overnight trip to our heated yurt.
