Drive Your Own Sled Dog Team
This exclusive trip features the unique opportunity to drive a sled dog team on your own for three consecutive days. You will explore over 70 miles of forest trails and pristine frozen lakes, gaining new mushing skills each day. Enjoy the comforts of a lakeside northwoods lodge at the end of each day, where a warm fireplace and savory meals complement an active day on the trail. The third day of sledding culminates with an exciting night run under the starry winter sky. The night run is a favorite of our guests. Experience the feel of flying without leaving the ground. Escape the ordinary with this unforgettable trip that does it all and returns to the relaxing comfort of a lodge each evening.

Day 1

Arrive at lodge in afternoon. Dinner with guide.

Day 2

Intro to dogsledding. Following breakfast, arrive at the kennel and meet your canine traveling companions. We’ll teach you the essentials of driving a sled, harnessing dogs and then be off on a day trip. Return home to the lodge for dinner and sharing stories.

Day 3

Travel day, gaining more mushing skills while exploring forest and lake trails.

Day 4

Sleep in, relax, or explore the area woods – fantastic brunch followed by dogsledding in the afternoon. Dinner on the lake and mushing back to the kennel in the dark under the winter night sky.

Day 5

Breakfast and depart.
