A Trip Like No Other
Premier Yurt Trip – Drive Your Own Dogsled!
Spend three full days immersed in the mushing world, driving your team of enthusiastic and lovable huskies through the Superior National Forest. Your seasoned guides’ instructions will prepare you to safely navigate the snowy trails. With three days and solo sleds, you will have plenty of time and dog power to explore our extensive trail system.
After two amazing days on the trail and two nights at the yurt, our last day we mush back to the kennel.

Day 1
Arrive at the kennel at 9 am. You will be greeted by your guide who will make sure you have the proper clothing for the trip and provide you with rental clothing as needed. You will be taught the essentials of driving a sled, harnessing dogs and then be off on the trail to the Yurt Camp. Lunch will be served on the trail and we will arrive at the yurt around 3.
Day 2
Second full day of mushing, explore more trails that are farther out. On this trip we can get to our most remote trail. Returning to the yurt at the end of the day.
Day 3
After breakfast, pack up, harness your team and savor the culminating day of mushing. Return to the kennel by noon(ish) for a final lunch and a a farewell to your dogs.
Jerod is a native of Ely, MN. He is an avid outdoorsman and guide. He spent his youth exploring the Boundary Waters by canoe and dog team. He has built his own Native Bait business supplying local shops for fishing season. He also is an accomplished bird waterfowl hunting guide in North Dakota. He is known for his calm demeanor and steadiness in teaching guests about dog sledding, ice fishing, and sharing his love of the north woods.
